We are a destination orchestra dedicated to being a dynamic and vibrant part of southwest Michigan. The SMSO has been an integral part of the cultural fabric of our community since 1951. Led by Music Director Robin Fountain, we strive to cultivate and inspire a diverse audience through professional musical experiences. We offer innovative programming by harnessing live music’s transformational power to foster creativity, promote joy and unite our community.

Delight in and sing along to The Sound of Music, a wholly live performance brought to you by the professional musicians of the SMSO alongside talented theater vocalists and local cast curated by The GhostLight Theatre’s General Manager & Artistic Director, Paul Mow. Join us to experience this timeless classic.

Food trucks will be onsite for this event to provide a variety of snacks, meals, and refreshments, along with the SMSO bar featuring assorted beer and wine!
