(He/Him) Alan makes his home in Milwaukee where he's designed for several companies including All In Productions, Cooperative Performance, Falls Patio Players, First Stage Children’s Theatre, In Tandem Theatre, Milwaukee Chamber Theatre, Milwaukee Rep, Next Act, Renaissance Theaterworks, Theatre Gigante, Theater RED, and Windfall Theatre. Work outside Wisconsin includes TITAN Theatre Company in NYC, Hope Summer Repertory Theatre in Holland, MI, and The Ivoryton Playhouse and Brief Cameo Productions in Ivoryton, CT. He received his training at UW-Madison and The Santa Fe Opera.

Cooperative Performance exists to provide artists a forum to experiment, creating original works and innovative performances not otherwise attainable through traditional means of production; to offer audiences a wide range of artistic and cultural enrichment; and to inspire deeper thought and discussion into the issues concerning our communities - both local and global. We achieve this by creating collaborative and cooperative networks, providing platforms for artist education and feedback, and utilizing unconventional forms that integrate diverse perspectives and artistic disciplines. Cooperative Performance ceased operations in July 2022.

Description

ON GOLDEN POND is the love story of Ethel and Norman Thayer, who are returning to their summer home on Golden Pond. They are visited by their divorced, middle-aged daughter and her dentist fiancé, who leave for Europe and leave his teenage son behind for a summer of lessons learned and bonds strengthened. A heartwarming and hilarious show about generations of a family learning to communicate and to care. Starring Tony Award winner James Naughton as Norman Thayer and Tony Award nominee Mia Dillon as Ethel Thayer.
