An avid ensemble musician, violinist Caroline Joyner is a member of the Kalamazoo and Billings Symphony Orchestras and has performed in freelance orchestral and chamber music ensembles throughout the Chicagoland area. She earned her Master’s degree in Violin Performance at Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music in June 2022, studying with Blair Milton of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. In May 2020 she graduated Summa Cum Laude from the Cleveland Institute of Music / Case Western Reserve University’s dual-degree program, earning BM’s in Violin Performance (student of Joan Kwuon and Ivan Ženatý) and Music Theory and a BA in German. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and was named CIM’s Theodore Presser Scholar in 2018. When not teaching or performing, Caroline enjoys spoiling her cat Sage, trying new recipes, and planning future travel adventures.
