Biography

Ben Poirot

Ben Poirot currently serves as the co-principal tubist of the Civic Orchestra of Chicago and is completing a MM at Northwestern University. He earned his BM in 2021 from Western Connecticut State University. Ben previously served as the principal tubist of the New York Youth Symphony, joining the orchestra for their first European tour and their 2022 studio album, which received a 2023 Grammy award for Best Orchestral Performance. In addition to performing with orchestras in the Chicagoland area, Ben is also the core tubist with Talos Brass.
