Caroline Gélinas
Named “ Révélation Radio-Canada Classique ” in 2017-2018, Caroline Gélinas studied at the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal and subsequently was artist in residence at the Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal. Caroline is a native of the majestic Abitibi-Témiscamingue region. Surrounded by nature, this is where she discovered her passion for music at a very young age.

Biography

Caroline Gélinas

On stage, we could see her in the title role of Carmen by Bizet with the Atelier Lyrique of the Opéra de Montréal; in the role of Nada ( Svadba , from Quebec composer Ana Sokolović); Die Schleppträgerin ( Elektra, by Strauss) and Sister Jeanne ( Dialogue des Carmélites, by Poulenc) at the Opéra de Montréal. She played the role of Mercedes ( Carmen ) and Flora ( La Traviata , by Verdi) at the Opéra de Québec as well as that of Siebel ( Faust , by Gounod) and Nicklausse ( Les Contes d'Hoffmann, by Offenbach) with the Society of Lyric Art of the Kingdom in Chicoutimi (Canada). She also played the role of Dorabella (Così fan tutte , by Mozart) with the Highlands Opera Studio; the role of The Mother ( Amahl and the Night Visitors, by Menotti) with L'Atelier Lyrique de l'Opéra de Montréal; Stéphano ( Roméo et Juliette, by Gounod) and Musette ( La Bohème, by Leoncavallo) with the Canadian Institute of Vocal Art and the International Vocal Art Institute in New York; Dorabella ( Così fan tutte ) and Ottone ( L'Incoronazione di Poppea, by Monteverdi) with the Center for Opera Studies in Italy; Dido ( Dido and Aeneas, by Purcell) and Miss Todd ( The Old Maid and the Thief, by Menotti) with the Conservatoire de musique de Montréal.
