Praised for his clarity and agility, Cuban-American tenor, Fran Daniel Laucerica, is a versatile musician who shines equally in operatic and concert repertoire. Mr. Laucerica's 2019/2020 highlights included the Tenor Soloist in Carmina Burana with the Lexington Symphony Orchestra, Ernesto in Don Pasquale with Boston Conservatory and as a Studio Artist with Wolf Trap Opera.

Mr. Laucerica's recent credits include the roles of Miguelín in the premiere of Omar Najmi's chamber opera, En la ardiente oscuridad, 2nd Seigneur in Odyssey Opera's Henry VIII, The Vain Man and The Snake in NEMPAC Opera's production of The Little Prince by Rachel Portman, and The Magician in The Consul with Boston Conservatory.

In concert, Mr. Laucerica has had the opportunity to perform as a soloist in a wide variety of works, including Mozart’s Coronation Mass, Puccini’s Messa di Gloria, Handel’s Messiah, and Adolphus Hailstork’s cantata, I Will Lift Up Mine Eyes. Laucerica has also been fortunate enough to premiere several works and perform as a soloist for world premieres of Samuel Carl Adams’ Light Readings with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra MusicNOW initiative and David Lang’s a house with the Bienen Contemporary Vocal Ensemble.

Mr. Laucerica holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Northwestern University in Voice and Opera Performance and recently received his Master of Music degree from the Boston Conservatory, studying under Dr. Rebecca Folsom.
"Laucerica elevated the performance of his costars. Tackling runs in a clear tenor, he leaned into the character effectively, garnering the first applause of the night."
