Megan Koch
(She/Her) Emerging soprano Megan Koch is based in DFW where she is an avid performer and teacher. This season Megan returns to Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for their Home for the Holidays concert and makes her debut with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra on the Holiday Pops in the Heartland concert. Last season, she made her role debuts as Violetta (La traviata) and Berta (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at Shreveport Opera and Nala, a cat, in Jody Goble's One-Act, Meow and Forever, recorded by Opera Arlington and Really Spicy Opera.

Megan Koch

Emerging soprano Megan Koch is based in DFW where she is an avid performer and teacher. This season Megan returns to Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra for their Home for the Holidays concert and makes her debut with the Illinois Symphony Orchestra on the Holiday Pops in the Heartland concert. Last season, she made her role debuts as Violetta (La traviata) and Berta  (Il barbiere di Siviglia) at Shreveport Opera and Nala, a cat, in Jody Goble's One-Act, Meow and Forever, recorded by Opera Arlington and Really Spicy Opera. Formerly a Fort Worth Opera Lesley Resident Artist, she performed Annina and covered Violetta  (La Traviata), covered Ana Maria in Armienta's Zorro (world premier), covered Musetta (La bohème), and performed on Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra's televised concert, America Strong during COVID. She has also appeared with Lewisville Lake Symphony Chamber Recital Series, University of North Texas Opera, and Fort Worth Opera’s Frontiers where she “shimmered with nuance” - The Column Online. Megan won 1st place in the Classical Singer Voice Competition and was a finalist in the Lewisville Lake Symphony International Voice Competition in 2022. 

While pursuing her grad work at University of North Texas Megan was sent to the Czech Republic to have Czech diction coaching. She performed Pergolesi's Stabat Mater during her time there and was invited back the following year to help revive two lost works by Johann Heinrich Schmelzer in the Olomouc Baroque Festival.

Some of her other major roles include Lucia di Lammermoor, The Cunning Little Vixen, Zan (Regina), Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte), Rose (Street Scene), and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte).
