While a member of Malone Opera Theatre, Ohio audiences have seen her in a variety of roles including Pamina in Mozart’s Die Zauberflöte, Monica in Menotti’s The Medium, Cinderella in Sondheim’s Into the Woods, and Susanna in Mozart’s Le Nozze di Figaro as well as the title role in Puccini’s Suor Angelica. Jessica has also been seen by Ohio audiences as Magda in Menotti’s The Consul with Nightingale Opera Theatre’s Young Artist Program as well as in their scenes program as Norma in Norma, Leonora in Il Trovatore, and Donna Anna in Don Giovanni. Jessica also sang as a young artist with Resonanz Opera, again as the title role in Suor Angelica. Between degrees, Jessica was located in Harrisonburg, Virginia, studying with Kevin McMillan, where she was seen on stage with James Madison University Opera Theatre. Ms. Crowell recently graduated with her Masters of Music from The Shepherd School of Music at Rice University in Houston, Texas where she astounded audiences with her feisty Vitellia in their 2020 production of La Clemenza di Tito and her strong and passionate Elvira in their 2022 production of Don Giovanni.
