Maggie Sicilia
(She/Her) A metro-Detroit native, Maggie has regularly performed with Little Door Theatre, Toledo Opera, and the St. Benedict Tridentine Schola Cantorum, and has made appearances with the Grand Rapids Symphony, the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, the Riverbank Theatre, and the Detroit Concert Choir. She is an alumna of training programs at Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Company, and the University of Michigan.

Biography

Maggie Sicilia

Praised for her “gorgeous timbre” and her grace onstage, Ms. Sicilia is an active performer of oratorio, opera, and classical theatre. Notable performances include Dido and Aeneas (Belinda), Uncle Vanya (Sonya), Pirates of Penzance (Mabel), Hamlet (Ophelia), Creation (Gabriel), and many more. She is a regional expert in Gregorian chant and her collaborative performances run the gamut from Benjamin Britten’s Canticles II and IV to Franz Schubert’s cantata Mirjam’s Siegesgesang and beyond. Ms. Sicilia has regularly performed with Little Door Theatre, Toledo Opera, the Detroit Concert Choir, and Christ Church Grosse Pointe, and she will debut this summer with Dramatic Voices Programs Berlin as Vertraute in Strauss’s Elektra. Ms. Sicilia holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance from Grand Valley State University and is an alumna of training programs at Tanglewood, Shakespeare and Co., and the University of Michigan.
