Miss Franklin also had the privilege to work with the Knoxville Opera Studio, where she sang the role of Alisa in Lucia di Lammermoor and participated in the choruses of Turandot, Aida, and Cavalleria rusticana. Miss Franklin has also been a Young Artist with the Janiec Opera Company at the Brevard Music Center, where she recently performed Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus and covered the title role in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah. She recently was seen as an Apprentice Artist at Sarasota Opera, where she performed in a series of concerts for the public as well as chorus in La boheme, L'elisir d'amore, Romeo et Juliette, and La Wally.
"In the title role of Carmen, Franklin had that low strength [as well as] the ability to turn her upper range into a theatrical dagger."
