Previously, Catherine has held a vocal fellowship with RISE Camp at Crested Butte Music Festival, and she appeared as an Apprentice Artist with Des Moines Metro Opera (2018, 2019), as an Emerging Artist with Virginia Opera (2018-2019), and as an Emerging Artist with Seagle Festival (2016, 2017). Favorite roles performed include Lucia, (Lucia di Lammermoor), Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro), Cunegonde (Candide), and Controller (Flight). As a soloist, Catherine has sung the soprano solo in Carmina Burana and Messiah, among others. She is an avid recitalist and frequently programs the works of women composers. She has had competition success in Pennsylvania, Texas, Alabama, and Michigan. A native of Friendswood, Texas, she holds degrees from the University of Houston and Michigan State University.
As the lovelorn Adina, Catherine Goode brought a sparkling soprano to light up the stage.
