Daniel Overly is visiting assistant professor of music in chamber and collaborative music at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music.

Overly has previously held the positions of staff pianist at the Aspen Music Festival and School and collaborative piano fellow at the Yale School of Music. He served as rehearsal pianist and musical assistant for the Cleveland Orchestra and Chorus, where he participated in the preparation of Bach’s St. John Passion, Brahms’ Requiem, Duruflé’s Requiem, Dvořák’s Stabat Mater, Poulenc’s Gloria, Stravinsky’s Threni, and Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten.
The recipient of a Fulbright grant to Austria, Overly studied song interpretation with Carolyn Hague, Angelika Kirchschlager, and Birgid Steinberger at the Vienna Conservatory, and opera coaching with David Aronson and Kristin Okerlund of the Wiener Staatsoper. He studied collaborative piano and chamber music at the Cleveland Institute of Music with Anita Pontremoli. Overly has participated in the Britten-Pears Young Artist Program, Fall Island Vocal Arts Seminar, Franz-Schubert-Institut, Oxford Lieder Festival, and Tanglewood Music Center as the Leonard Bernstein Fellow.
