Biography

“Amazingly agile high soprano” (The Bloomington-Herald Times) Jennie Moser is rapidly gaining experience and attention as an exciting up and comer in the opera world. Her most recent roles include Gretel in Hansel and Gretel, and Zerbinetta in Ariadne auf Naxos, both with Indiana University Opera Theater under the baton of Arthur Fagen. Other performance credits with Indiana University include the role of Niece 1 in Peter Grimes and appearing as the soprano soloist in Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42.

Additional roles include Amy March in Little Women, Madame Silberklang in The Impresario, and Barbarina in Le nozze di Figaro, all at Northwestern University. In 2016, Ms. Moser was part of the Janiec Opera Company at the Brevard Music Center, where she sang the role of Erste Dame and covered Die Königin der Nacht in Die Zauberflöte. Ms. Moser also received training at the Aspen Music Festival and School as a member of the Aspen Opera Center, where she performed scenes from The Rape of Lucretia, Our Town, and Le nozze di Figaro.

Ms. Moser received an Encouragement Award in both 2017 and 2018 from the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions in the Indiana District. Ms. Moser completed her Master of Music Degree in Vocal Performance at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music and completed her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance at Northwestern University. She is also a graphic designer and oversees a creative studio, Jennie Moser Design, and is the founder of Stagetime, a professional network for performing artists.
"Amazingly agile high soprano Jennie Moser maneuvered brilliantly through Strauss’ 12-minute bombardment of sky-high notes that make up Zerbinetta’s “get-over-your-sorrows-and-live” advice aria for Ariadne, among the most difficult vocal displays ever written."
