Shannon Van Esley (she/her) is a New York City based Actor, Singer, Theatre Educator, and Activist. She was born in Detroit, and trained at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy and The New School in NYC. In 2022, she completed the NYU Tisch: Film and TV Industry Essentials certificate program. She has performed professionally on Stage (Yates Musical Theatre, American Family Theatre, Celtic Theatre Company), Camera (American Prophet, A Crime to Remember, Brain Games) in the Voice-Over booth (​Google, Fisher Price, Brother Ink), and the newest season of Inside Amy Schumer on Paramount Plus. Shannon has instructed at Motor City Youth Theatre, Paper Mill Playhouse Classes for Kids, and Creative Arts Workshop. She's worked and advocated with the New York Coalition to End Gun Violence, Concert Across America to End Gun Violence, Women's March, GVPedia, and Brady United Against Gun Violence.

Shannon and her charming partner, Eric Davidson (music journalist and singer of the punk band New Bomb Turks), reside in Queens with their newest feline companion, Mr. Marty Showbiz (Please hold- His agent will be with you shortly!) She is a strong believer that people should frequent diners and buy from newsstands. "If we don't use them, we will lose them!"
