Biography

Jonah Hoskins

Jonah is a tenor from Saratoga Springs, Utah. Since winning the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Jonah has been attending the prestigious Lindemann Young Artist Program. Over the past few years Jonah has also been recognized by the Lotte Lenya Competition where he received the “Extraordinary Artistic Promise Award”, as well as the National Opera Association Competition where he placed first. Jonah has been passionate about operatic repertoire from a young age. Some of his most notable roles include Fenton in Falstaff, Rinuccio in Gianni Schicchi, Tamino in Die Zauberflöte, and Septimius in Theodora. Jonah made his professional debut with Utah Opera as Benvolio in Roméo et Juliette, and has participated in both Des Moines Metro Opera and Ohio Light Opera’s Young Artist Programs.
